Location: Dallas, Texas

Architect: Phillip Shepherd

Contractor: Bob Thompson Homes

Nestled between towering trees, winding roads and a trickling creek, this residence is located in the Dallas neighborhood of Old Preston Hollow. The whimsical surroundings marry well with the clients’ bold and playful design style, creating a modern fairytale feel to this family home.

A shining star in this residence is the library, which was inspired by our clients’ holiday visit to the Blaue Bar at the Sacher Hotel, Vienna.  This inspiration was translated into the well appointed mahogany built ins, elegant brass inlay, blue suede walls, cobalt silk rug and Blue Bahia granite desk that was designed by our clients’ son.

Liberally sprinkled throughout the home are custom details that reflect the vibrant personality of our clients.

Highlights of this project include the glass enclosed wine cellar with cable suspension system, marble hearth room fireplace with riveted metal surround, and the master suite which features custom lighted nightstands and a sleek Italian leather bed.
