LUCCHESE HOUSTON SHOWROOM

Location: Houston, Texas

Architect: Drose Raney

Contractor: Welch Contractors

The design intent for this Houston Flagship Store was to incorporate antique, traditional western, and contemporary elements to create a showroom that respected the culture and western traditions of a one hundred and thirty two year old Texas based bookmaker.

The reclaimed wood ceiling and rift sawn white oak floor establish the warm, western tone of the space. Clean oak display shelving lines the walls, highlighting the footwear, handbags and small leather goods, while contemporary equestrian photography effortlessly blends with 19th century Native American photographs on the walls above.

Highlights of this project include the many custom details: a leather upholstered antique glass mirror with logo, the cast bronze and leather saddle stands, a handmade steel and curved glass buckle case, and the logo embossed leather armchairs.
